The Country and Footpath Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month
and is concerned with protecting the Green Belt and the surrounding
countryside. The Group examines all planning schemes for building and road
construction outside the built-up town area. It also arranges regular Sunday
country walks in order to preserve the network of footpaths and reports any
obstructions or other problems to local Councils.
Meetings are held on
the third Tuesday of each month at Tilbury Hall (part of the United Reformed
Church) in Darkes Lane and commence at 7:30pm.
